Seiko Prospex Antarctica Scuba Tuna ‘Save the Ocean’
This timepiece is inspired by the landscape of the world’s largest marine sanctuary – Antarctica. The dial’s graduated colour and texture echo the white-blue views of the area created by light reflected on the ice, whilst the penguin at the 10 o’clock position represents the dwindling numbers of its inhabitants.
Seiko donates proceeds from these ‘Save the Ocean’ models to sea conservation and environmental organisations.The shape of this watch is affectionately nicknamed by Seiko fans as a ‘Tuna’ - because of its larger diameter and bold shape like a tuna tin - loved for decades since its release.

- The stainless steel case measures 43.2 mm in diameter. The watch’s strap is made of blue silicone.
- The watch features a unidirectional bezel.
- A Hardlex crystal protects the blue dial.
- Penguin silhouettes can be seen on the left-hand side of the dial.
- Luminescent hands and hour-markers.
- Water-resistant to 200 metres or 20 bars.
- Features on the model include a date aperture.
- Movement type - Automatic with a power reserve of up to 41 hours.

Free delivery is available on all UK orders -For items listed as in stock, your order should be completed before 4:00pm (Monday-Friday) for us to despatch the same day or before 11:30am on Saturday for delivery Monday. Please note that all orders must pass our security policy before they are despatched and we must be able to take payment successfully, if this is not possible we will email or send an SMS with further instructions. We aim for you to be absolutely delighted with your purchase and therefore offer you 30 days to change your mind on your purchase (excludes pre-owned watches). You may do this by using the form provided with your order or otherwise. We will provide a refund of all payment received (not including delivery upgrades), usually within 48 hours of receipt of the product. This will be made to the original payment method. For most payment methods it will take 3-5 working days for this to show on your statement.
Please ensure items from your order are suitable before wearing as we are unable to accept items which have been worn under our returns policy.For UK orders under £1000, you may generate a free tracked and insured returns label on the Royal Mail website (opens in a new window). You can print this label and send it back at any local Post Office at no cost to yourself. It is also possible to have the label printed at Post Office using the QR code from the confirmation email. Please retain the proof of postage receipt. Unfortunately we are unable to provide a refund of return postage for returns through other methods, so we recommend printing the free postage label provided. For orders over £1000, please consult your receipt for details on how to return. For international returns, you will need to bear the cost of returns postage. Please ensure the watch is returned to us in an unworn, new condition with all the original packaging (manufacturer's manual and guarantee if applicable). Please ensure items from your order are suitable before wearing as we are unable to accept items which have been worn under our returns policy. We reserve the right to make deductions for unnecessary damage caused to the product by yourself.
We are also able to offer an exchange to a different product if required, please specify this when returning your product.
If a fault develops with a watch that is outside of the 30 day returns period or is no longer in a new condition the watch can be returned to the manufacturer under the terms of the guarantee (we are an official UK dealer for all brands on our website) so that they can rectify any issues. This is my second Seiko Proxpex 'save the ocean' watch (my other one being the 'great white shark' samurai) and I love it. The attention to detail is amazing and it's what makes Seiko stand out. The polished metal against the brushed metal really stands out and actually makes it looks really smart.
The small face gives the impression that the watch is smaller than it really is but as the lugs are basically non-existant, it wears really small as well.
The lume on this thing is just what you would expect from Seiko, but the best thing about this watch is the face. I love the fact that Seiko play around with different styles and the penguins on the dial, albeit fairly difficult to see in certain lights, are very cool. The rest of the dial is kind of textured in a bluey green, sea-like colour. By far the best dial under £500.
