Brand History

Festina was founded in 1902 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland and the name of the brand means "hasten slowly." In 1984 Festina were brought by Miguel Rodriguez, owner of Lotus watches to create the group Festina Lotus. The group makes a number of high quality watches and jewellery which are distributed all over the world. The Festina brand is widely recognised from the Festina cycling team who were active from 1989 to 2001 and were very successful. Even after the team disbanded in 2001 Festina continued to act as the official timekeepers of the Tour de France.
