On a visit to the Portobello Road street market in Notting Hill one of the founders found an impeccably styled classic Swiss wristwatch with the words Henry, August 1965 engraved on the back. She took the watch to show her partner later that day and he said that he just had to wear the watch too! They decided that if they were both going to wear the watch they would need to recreate it themselves and thus Henry London was born.
